Directora de Arte
I am a Production Designer and Art Director for feature films. I was trained in fine arts, later in filmmaking, and subsequently participated in Berlin Talents, where I developed a perspective that combines aesthetic sensitivity, research, and visual storytelling.
My curiosity has led me to complement my training with studies in pyrotechnics and special effects (prosthetics and character makeup), furniture restoration, research on the representation of death, taxidermy, and photography, with a particular interest in the wet collodion process. Far from being scattered interests, this knowledge expands my ability to design believable worlds, with close attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sensibility.
I have worked on film productions in different countries and under very diverse conditions, developing an adaptable and rigorous professional practice.
Part of my teaching experience includes Art Direction workshops at IFIC (Spain) and in the specialization “Art Direction for Film” at Uniacc (Chile), as well as at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and an Art Direction for Film Residency held in Mexico City at the Centro Iberoamericano de Estudios de Foto, Cine y Animación (CIBEF) in April 2023.
I am a member of the Chilean Film Academy and the Production Designers Collective.
Alongside my work in film, I dedicate much of my energy to heritage preservation, through the collection and conservation of objects, understanding each piece as a carrier of memory and narrative. As a result, Aparato Rental was born (though that story deserves another chapter).
Dog lover, because there is life outside the set too.
